Progress, She is forever the temptress

Myself and the web development team have been engaging in improvements to the ilovemusiclive.com website. Like a kid in a candy shop we were running around with oooohh lets do this and Yeyyyyyy lets get that and ahhhh wouldn't it be be cool if this was on there. Needless to say a sensible head appeared (in the shape of a female) steering our misguided enthusiasm into a steady and logical direction. Over the next week we will be unveiling various new functions to the ilovemusiclive.com website, mostly practical with a little oooohhh thats cool element. With that said we will be starting further development as soon as these new functions and features have been unveiled......Progress, she is an evil and yet somewhat attractive mistress.

Moving Forward

After much deliberation I decided to include Italy in the favourites for our Country selection menu. Not because we have had such an influx of Italian live music fans surge through the I Love Music Live website, No, my decision for their inclusion in the top countries list is simply based on loyalty. Our two main sound engineers are Italian and are dedicated to the perfection of live music production so I feel that their efforts alone should warrant their motherlands inclusion. Not a scientific or even business like decision, however that being said a sound decision as you should always honour those that are loyal to your cause.

New Start, new Day

Here at I Love Music Live our day generally consists of playing catch up. With a mountain of work to get through we tend to prioritise and deal with whats considered URGENT and ABSOLUTELY *@@******* URGENT.

Left in the shadows has been our commitment to blog daily, even though we understand communication is key to any website looking to make its mark on the digital world, the only comments I have had recently revolves around my constantly evolving and changing "Things to do" list. In fact the constant update and completion of tasks that make this list is the driving force behind getting a regular blog . No.4 "Engage in daily blogging" has now become permanently etched onto my white board which now requires vinegar or some kind of industrial solvent to permanently remove it from our No.4 spot, creating space for another No.4 spot worthy task. Watch this space, as we now intend to fill it.

Live Music

Live Music, what do you think of when you hear that term, maybe it is the struggle to find good affordable concert tickets in the UK, or maybe it’s memories of great Rock Bands strutting their stuff on stage, peacocking to a sell out crowd. British Rock bands have a History of delivering live gigs with attitude and passion, live music is alive and kicking in Britain today although the great venues of the past are making way for so called architectural progress, however with the help of youtube fans are able to visit live music venues of years gone by and enjoy music videos of their favourite rock bands performing live gigs from these pillars of music history. A nostalgic click and a quick search will deliver a valuable piece of history to your screen, famous live gigs of years gone by from a time and place where musical history made myths of artists, guitarist and drummers alike. If living it live is your thing then you can type in live music and hunt for Things to do in London, get out there and be part of of what makes live music magical, live gigs happen every night in London so there is no reason not to enjoy live music. Alternatively if time is not on your side and you have a hectic lifestyle or you just do not live in London, then fear not, you have just discovered a musical treasure chest, ilovemusiclive.com will now give you the choice to watch live music when you want and where you want, delivering the jewels of British Rock music the days of missing out are gone. The chance to be there is on your doorstep. Live music is not a luxury, it is an experience that should be available to every music loving Man, Woman or Child. Where would we be if Eric Clapton did not perform live or if David Bowie was just a recording artist or Keith Moon was a session man, Rock bands today would be pale in comparison, Legends have been created because of their live performances and rock bands have been born because of live gigs, the measure of any musical artist/band is from their live performance, we hail all those who take to a stage with a love of performing live. Welcome to our world…Live it, Love it, LIVE.

Music Quiz - I Love Music Live

I Love music live Quiz

1, 4th Largest ever selling Album world wide, name the Album and Band?

2, Which album was released in May 1997, reaching No.1?

3, Who did Cliff Williams replace as bassist for a well know Rock band?

4, Who won the Q magazine greatest 100 songs ever title and with what song?

5, Who am I?

I was born August 26th 1946, I lived in Wembley, North London. My school reports which can only be described as interesting reading with comments such as " Retarded artistically. Idiotic in other respects", Art teacher, "He has great ability, but must guard against a tendency to show off" Music teacher. My music career began as a bugle boy for the Sea Cadet Corp, but I soon realized that this was not for me and swapped over to the drums, at 14 my father purchased my first kit and I began lessons with Carlo Little (early rolling stones drummer). My first serious band was called The Escorts, I also later played for a band called The Beachcombers (famous covers band, principly Cliff Richard songs), my largest musical influences however were Jazz percussionists Gene Krupa and Sonny Rollins. At 17 I joined what would turn out to be one of the largest Rock bands ever and toured the world earning the reputation as one of the greatest Drummers of all time, I also gained a reputation for blowing up toilets at every hotel I ever stayed in earning life time bans from every Hilton, Sheraton, Holiday inn's worldwide and The Waldorf Astoria in New York. My wife Kim Kerrigan bore our first child Amanda on the 12th of June 1966 but later left me for Faces keyboard player Ian McLagan. I had many friends within the music fraternity and It was I that suggested the name "Led Zepplin" to my good friend Jimmy Page who was considering calling his new band "Mad Dogs." Known for being a wild man I once passed out on stage whilst peforming at The Cow Palace, San Francisco, the cause came from the consumption of a series of Horse tranquilizers washed down with Brandy whilst performing "Won't get fooled again". I knew I would bring my own life to a premature end, The wild times eventually caught up with me on the evening of 6th of September 1978, after dining out with my close friends Paul McCartney and his wife Linda. I consumed 32 Clomethiazole pills which were a sedative to control my alcohol withdrawal symptoms, I guess my new doctor had no idea of my history as the pill Clomethiazole is highly dangerous when mixed with alcohol, as it turns out it only took 6 of these bad boys to kill me that night, in the autopsy they discovered the remaining 26 pills still undissolved. My body has been cremated and my ashes spread in Golders Green Crematorium, North London.
